Induction heaters for billets for extrusion of Aluminum, Cu and Cu Alloys

Obtaining a correct and repeatable heating process of the billets to be extruded is of paramount importance for the whole extrusion process.
The induction heaters designed and manufactured by GMS/ENGITEC are known in the Aluminum, Copper, and Copper Alloys extrusion process of billets as some of the most advanced units available on the market.

In GMS/ENGITEC equipment, accuracy and repeatability of the heating process are ensured by the modern IGBT technology (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor). In addition, the IGBT converter system allows the application of up to six independent heating zones along the billet axes, so as to obtain a taper heating if so desired. IGBT converter allows also to feed two heating elements with one converter only.

The heating elements are conceived for allowing easy change of billet diameter and easy maintenance. All inlet and outlet installation related to the equipment allow quick and fast movements in the working area.
