Live block wire coiler, vertical, for wire rewinding

The Lämneå Bruk Take Up unit is intended for Take Up and wire rewinding after heat treatment, surface treatment or similar operations. The Take Up can either pattern lay or non-pattern lay the wire, due to the design of using dead block or live block.

The frame is a welded construction with a motor, gearbox and block. The frame is self-supporting and need only a flat surface for installation.

The drive of the Take Up consists of an AC motor and gearbox, the block is mounted directly on the gearbox. This design gives a nice unit, which can easily be dismounted from the frame for repair or maintenance.

The blocks for the Take Up are made of special cast iron and coated with a special hard surface to give the blocks a long lifetime.

The Take Up is controlled and monitored by a PLC, which sets the machine control system, visualize and monitor the process.

The Take Up has a movable trolley with a driven turn table, the former is placed on a wheel trolley that has a separate driven turntable. The speed of the turntable is set in the control panel and is separately adjustable. The trolley is designed to perform 4 thumps per lap while the machine is running. As the wire comes out of the furnace they will go over guiding wheels, in the event of a snarl the wheel will also act as a snarl arrest and stop the line.

The machine is provided with a manually operated collector arms, for the wire. The collector arm holds on the production during changing of carriers.
