Needles and pins for die grinding and calibration

Mikrotek manufactures a wide range of pins and needles for die-working equipment.

- Diamond-plated angle pins

The company’s diamond-plated angle pins are used for grinding Tungsten Carbide dies. These are concentric needles and highly recommended for high-speed TC die working machines. Specially treated diamond grits, which are electroplated to the shank of the pin, are employed. More no-grit faces and cutting edges result in sharp cutting, less clogging and better grinding efficiency. These pins are available in different angles from 6° to 30°.

- GHCS pins

Hardened and Ground Cylindrical Calibration (GHCS) Pins are also called bearing formation pins or sizing pins. They are used in MTCBRG 6/8 machines for the quick bearing formation of dies. They can also be used for manual bearing formation. These pins are made of hardened silver steel material.

Available sizes are: 0.300mm to 14.000 at intervals of 0.010mm with a tolerance of +0.000/ -0.003 mm
These pins are hardened to 55 - 60 HRC. Available lengths are 25 mm for pin diameters 0.200mm to 0.590mm) and 80mm for pin diameters 0.600mm to 14.00mm): 
Standard packings set quantities are: 10/25/50/100 nos. per size.
Other diameter sizes with different tolerances can also be made available on request.

- Hardened Steel Conical Needles

Hardened steel conical needles are used for grinding tungsten carbide dies in high-speed working equipment. Available diameter sizes are 3, 4, 6 and 8 mm. Available lengths are 80mm and 100 mm.

- Hardened Silver Steel Needles

Hardened silver steel needles are used for diamond die-working equipment. Available diameter sizes are 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, and 6.0 mm. These pins are available at 100mm.
