"Messe Düsseldorf is adamant, wire & Tube 2020 will take place in December"

As the official web organ of ACIMAF (Italian Wire Machinery Manufacturers Association), expometals.net makes public the letter addressed by the organization to all its members. This communication is about the latest updates on the wire & Tube 2020, the major international trade show for the wire and tube industry, scheduled to take place in Düsseldorf from December 7 to 11.

On September 8, 2020, a meeting was held between ACIMAF, the German, Austrian and French reference associations and the managing bodies of Messe Düsseldorf in order to discuss the fair and to protect the economic interests of the exhibitors.

Here below is the official communication of the ACIMAF Secretariat:

“On Tuesday, September 8, 2020, ACIMAF (Italian Wire Machinery Manufacturers Association) together with the German, Austrian and French industry associations gathered in Germany to meet the managers of Messe Düsseldorf.

During the meeting, Messe Düsseldorf, whose property belongs to the city of Düsseldorf and the Land of North Rhine-Westphalia, has confirmed resolutely that the wire & Tube Show will take place as scheduled on December 7-11, 2020. Taking note of this decision, the Associations requested to substantially revise the conditions for cancellation and participation in the fair.

Since the proposals of the Associations are very burdensome for the Fair Authority, the wire & Tube managers will have to ask for the authorization of the board of directors. The answer will be communicated by September 15.
