MicroStudio to launch new virtual modeling function for the LED3D
MicroStudio has enhanced the LED3D instrument with new advanced functions to identify the best compromise between the number of coils, grinding level, and shape of the closures.
With these new features, it is possible to measure springs directly coming out of the coiling machine, simulate the grinding process, analyze the spring under fully compressed (locked) conditions, or adjust the number of coils to optimize its performance. The new functions are simple and intuitive: after testing the spring, the operator can view and analyze the graphical data from the appropriate section
Shape control of the terminal coils in process
In compression springs, the shape of the terminal coils is critical to the spring’s perpendicularity and load capacity.
For this reason, the LED3D instrument is commonly used to compare the graphs of the pitch and diameter of the sample spring with the new production, allowing for rapid setup of the coiling machine. With the new upgrade, this control can also be carried out in process, avoiding shape drift during production. With the PMAR control Software it is possible to measure the deviation in the shape of each terminal coil compared to the set sample.
These functionalities are included in the new LED3D instruments. Do not hesitate to contact MicroStudio through the references on the online stand for inquiries and upgrades to your LED3D.
