IABG to present its new rotating bending test machine for thin wires and samples
IABG, the German provider of test devices, has recently developed a revolutionary rotating bending test machine addressed at wire and spring makers, as well as material testing laboratories.
The new RBTM allows determining the fatigue strength of high-resistance materials commonly used in springs or other complex components. In detail, this new model is specifically engineered for testing thin wires and samples, determining the best treatment parameters according to the material's characteristics.
Technical specifications:
- shouldered samples (Ø): max. 12 mm;
- spring wire (Ø): 3 to 6 mm;
- test frequency: 5 Hz to 50 Hz (variable);
- power consumption: max. 1 kW;
- weight: approx. 500 kg;
- circumferential bending, load input: quick-action chuck or domed, non-wearing plastic rings;
- bending moment: max. 100 Nm.
