MXM-OP-01, the spring setting module designed by Microstudio

How many times have spring manufacturers needed to adjust a spring sample but lacked a suitable press? With Microstudio's MXM instruments, the new MXM-OP-01 accessory can now safely transform your tool into a setting machine for small batches of springs.

In the past, the company strictly advised against using the MXM instrument as a spring setter. However, with the introduction of MXM-OP-01, the situation has changed. This system is mounted on the main cell, safeguarding it from wear and accidental damage.

MXM-OP-01 features

- Shock absorber for setting up to 18kN (with the MXM25 model).
- Tilting plate for quick insertion of even very long springs.
- Adjustable safety sensor which intervenes at a limit load between 10 and 18 kN.
- One long and one short removable guide pin.
- Key for mounting the group on the load cell.

MXM-OP-01 functioning

From the PMInterface Software, it will be sufficient to enable the "setting mode" and enter the test data in the dedicated window. The instrument will perform one or more setting cycles based on these settings; in this mode, measuring the spring load is not possible. Once the load exceeds 10kN, the device will start to compress, absorbing load peaks and preventing overload that could damage the instrument and the load cell.
