The wire-drawing industry has always been a typology of production that is deeply connected with the territory of Lecco (Italy), including for historical reasons. - Swarf Coilers MACHINES FOR SCALING Anyone who produces wire knows how important scaling is for the success of the wire-drawing process! O.M.F. has done mechanical scaling since its foundation using simple but functional products. The strong point of these products is their constructive simplicity; this guarantees reliability and a very low cost of use. ORBITING BRUSHING MACHINE The adoption of these machines allows avoiding “chemical pickling” of the wire with considerable advantages: very high economic saving; a far more ecological production; simultaneous execution of the brushing-wire-drawing process;
greater duration of the dies. ROTATING DIE-BOXES The assembly of the wire-drawing dies on an axis that compels rotation was an intuition that was as simple as it was ingenious. It allows obtaining a drawn wire of better quality and a lower and more even consumption of the die,  preventing ovalization. The first in Italy to produce such a machine, OMF is now close to having delivered 5000 die-boxes! This is a remarkable achievement, together with a very high MTBF which makes our customers choose us for the reliability of our products. SWARF COILERS The management of machining waste from wire-drawing has always created special problems due to the dangerousness and dimensions of the swarf. Our coiler solves both these problems by creating, in a very short time, a compact and easily transportable skein of wire
