Ghost lumps haunting your cable production? Enter Ronex Superdry

Ghost lumps haunting your cable production? Enter Ronex Superdry

The seemingly innocuous presence of water droplets on material poses a substantial problem in cable production. Achieving a surface-dry product is paramount for reliable inline measurement and quality control further downstream. Failure to achieve adequate drying can lead to water particles being detected as fake lumps or ghost lumps.

Ghost lumps can be defined as false anomalies that arise during cable production due to insufficient drying of the material, disrupting the production process.

This issue becomes increasingly pronounced as line speed increases since traditional drying systems are known to be prone to trigger false quality alarms. False alarms coming from lump detection can be quite expensive, as they involve wastes of time and rewinding efforts. And all for nothing! The product is in fact flawless, it was just not dry enough.

This is where Ronex Superdry, the latest innovation by Rosendahl Nextrom, comes in. Ronex Superdry is an automated cable drying system with supersonic airflow designed to eliminate ghost lumps from your production line.

Unique air channel design
Ronex Superdry has been optimized to enable airflow at supersonic speed. The system features a unique air channel design and a nozzle that can dry up cables reliably at up to 2,000 m/min speed, which is the breaking point for standard nozzles.

Drastic reduction in compressed air consumption
One single Superdry nozzle possesses the drying capacity of three conventional nozzles. This allows for a reduction of up to 50% compressed air consumption for the entire drying process, depending on the configuration – a significant contribution to energy efficiency. Moreover, it is highly wear-resistant.

A user-friendly solution
The system closes automatically after a successful start-up, reducing operating time and lowering the risk of material breakage, noises, or mists. Additional features include easy threading and improved cable/tube stabilization during the process.

Ronex Superdry stands as a testament to Rosendahl’s commitment to process control and optimization. Want to discover if it’s suitable for your production line? Ask the Rosendahl team via the contact details provided.
