Promills, a master in the field of wire forming

For many years now, rolling cassettes have come into use by many drawing mills to overcome the physical limitations imposed by traditional wire drawing methods. Although the goal remains cold forming, cassettes are based on the rolling process.

With decades of experience in the metalworking field, Promills designs and manufactures a wide range of rolling cassettes using relatively few standardized components. Promills rolling cassettes are available in a variety of diameters, from ø80 mm up to ø250 mm, and have a number of interesting features, including:

- individually and independently adjustable rollers via a single key;
- numerical positioning indicators;
- forks in R˜700N/mm2 cast alloy steel;
- fork-holder assembly with adjustable preload and double axial guide;
- cooling and greasing systems through roll shafts;
- greasing and cooling pipes with metallic reinforcement (on request);
- alignment keys for cassette setup;
- preset for automatic setup via laser system.

In addition, a protruding screw (two sides) for radial regulation is available as an optional.
