Coremo's pneumatic brakes and clutches with air chamber and multi-disc design are ideal solutions for transmitting high torque at low speeds. These systems are frequently used in rolling mills, unwinders and winders, and bending machines. The pneumatic supply to the internal air chamber causes movement and compression between friction discs and steel discs that respectively move on the bell and the toothed hub. Their contact generates immediate and high torque, proportional to the force exerted by the air chamber and, therefore, to the air supply pressure. The hub bore can be left unfinished or machined according to customer specifications. Optional accessories such as air supply pipes, rotary joints, and quick exhaust valves are available to facilitate machine installation and optimize product performance.

This family includes low inertia brakes and clutches (BI series), ventilated clutches (VS series), and spring-applied brakes (M series).
