IVR presents its new heat treatment line at Fastener Fair Global in Stuttgart

Fastener Fair Global, taking place from March 25 to 27 in Stuttgart, will be an excellent opportunity to reconnect with industry peers and exchange insights and innovations in fastening technology.

Among its latest developments, IVR has chosen to showcase a heat treatment line specifically designed for the fastener industry, capable of processing approximately 1,000 kg per hour for quenching and tempering. Additionally, this system is suitable for carburizing and carbonitriding treatments.

This installation represents a key reference project for the Italy-based company, located just 30 minutes from its facility. Moreover, IVR's close collaboration with the end user of this new furnace line makes the project even more strategic.

Precision and expertise in customized project development

IVR specializes in fully customized solutions, leveraging its technical know-how, industry experience, and dedicated after-sales support to meet customer needs effectively. By providing tailored solutions and continuous technical consultation, IVR delivers advanced, high-quality systems with outstanding reliability.

The company’s strong partnerships with both clients and suppliers enable the development of innovative and high-performance heat treatment systems.

Technical features of IVR’s heat treatment systems for fasteners

Depending on the geometry and weight of the material being treated, customers can choose between a continuous mesh belt furnace or a cast-link belt furnace. For processing long screws, for example, a seal quench furnace can be used, with materials carefully positioned in dedicated fixtures to prevent deformation.

IVR’s product portfolio includes all these system types, which can be integrated with automatic loading systems, pre-wash and post-wash machines, quenching tanks, and end-of-line cooling systems—either air cooling or in a burnishing tank. Special attention is given to furnace heating systems to enhance both energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, with measures in place to minimize CO₂ emissions where applicable.

The furnace atmosphere can be generated using endogas, produced by IVR’s proprietary endothermic gas generators, or by injecting a controlled mixture of nitrogen and methanol. The entire process is fully automated and managed by IVR’s in-house developed software, which continuously monitors and controls each stage of the heat treatment line.
