High carbon steel shot and grit blasting abrasives

n

Ervin AMASTEEL® is a round and angular high carbon steel abrasive which is already widely employed in a plethora of applications, including (but not limited to): foundry, forging, metallurgy, transportation, energy, and construction industries.

AMASTEEL® comes in three different formats: shots, grit, and combined mixes. The shots are atomized in a controlled atmosphere, which ensures perfect control over the microstructure and hardness. The grit is made by crushing the fully hardened shots, screening the resulting media, and tempering it to the desired hardness.

Shot is manufactured according to SAE, J444 and J827 specifications and is available in size ranges from 2.8 mm to 0.125 mm, while grit is compliant to the SAE, J444, and J1993 standards and is available in size ranges from 2.8 mm to 0.075.

Key benefits include reduced consumption and environmental impact, increased productivity, and on-site technical support.
