PS Costruzioni Meccaniche: a sixty years long history

Established in 1960 by Mr Stefano Parma, PS Costruzioni Meccaniche is today a global leading brand in the field packaging lines for the cable industry.
Always one step ahead of the times, the company started as a small local workshop and has developed and evolved over the years to become the international enterprise it is today.
Let's retrace together the history of PS Costruzioni Meccaniche.

1960 - 1980: this twenty-year period could be defined as PS's "embryonic" stage, in which the company dedicated itself to mechanical machining and machine assembly on behalf of third parties. Only afterwards the enterprise started to design and build semi-automatic machines and lines for the cable industry.

1990 - 2000: a crucial decade. The technologies introduced in these years made it possible to transition to the design and construction of the first automatic coiling and winding lines. This created the conditions for the development of a wide international commercial network.

2000 - 2010: in this interval, PS Costruzioni Meccaniche consolidated its international presence thanks to a wide range of tailor-made solutions for the main players in the cable industry. Moreover, the introduction of COMBO lines (fully automatic and able to wind cables both on reels and spools) marked a considerable step forward in terms of technological innovation.

2010 - today: in 2010, finally, PS inaugurated a second facility with new sales offices. Today the company boasts 4,500 square meters of covered area and a solid international presence.
