Founded in 1975 as a specialized division of MARIO NAVA SPA, the PAGANONI® Division will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025. This major milestone is a testament to the company’s stability and its leadership in the field of technical materials and wear-resistant coatings for wire drawing machines.

From Italy to the world: a globally recognized brand

In its early years, PAGANONI focused primarily on the Italian and Swiss markets. Over time, the company steadily expanded its reach to establish a global presence. “We now operate on a fully international scale, serving customers on every continent,” the company emphasizes.

Today, the PAGANONI® Division is recognized worldwide for the quality and reliability of its technical materials and coatings. Some of its products have become industry icons—to the point that, as they explain, “when people think of a certain type of coating, our brand is the first that comes to mind.”

Strategic investments and sustained growth

The Division’s growth has been supported by significant infrastructure investments. A key milestone was the relocation of production from the Bosisio Parini site to a dedicated facility in Annone di Brianza, completed in 2009. “As production volumes increased, having an independent manufacturing space became essential. Acquiring the facility was a key strategic step.”

Looking ahead, PAGANONI® plans further investments in equipment and technology: “We’re about to acquire grinders for large diameters and new systems to boost the production of technical ceramics.”

Generational continuity and strong leadership  

The story of the PAGANONI® Division is part of a broader vision: that of MARIO NAVA SPA, founded in 1956. From founder Mario Nava, the company has now reached its fourth generation. Aldo Nava established the PAGANONI® Division, and today the leadership is in the hands of Daniele Nava, supported by his son Giovanni, who recently joined the company. “A consistent family-led and managerial continuity” ensures long-term vision and organizational stability.

Future goals and industry outlook  

Looking ahead, the PAGANONI® Division aims to strengthen its position among both wire drawing machine manufacturers and end users. A continued focus on quality, on-time delivery, and the ability to offer innovative solutions to customer challenges remains the company’s guiding principle.

Regarding market trends, management notes an interesting shift: “We’re seeing stronger growth in the non-ferrous metal wire drawing segment compared to ferrous metals. It’s an exciting challenge we are fully prepared to address.”
