"We can be proud of what we've achieved": celebrating 90 years of excellence in welding technology
This year marks a momentous milestone for AUGUST STRECKER GmbH & Co. KG as the German family-run company commemorates its 90th anniversary. Since its founding in 1933, STRECKER has been synonymous with exceptional quality and groundbreaking welding technology for wire and cable applications. From the very beginning, the company set the stage for success by filing its first patent, a testament to its commitment to innovation.
Over the years, STRECKER’s production program has continuously expanded, catering to diverse applications in the wire and cable industry. STRECKER's welding machines are capable of handling wires as fine as 0.04 mm for the electronics sector while also providing solutions for large solid wires up to 60 mm in diameter.
In 2023, STRECKER proudly introduces two new products to mark its anniversary year: the soldering gun type LP10, tailored for high-voltage transformer manufacturers, and the type MK1200-FPC (see below), designed for connecting conductor cables up to a cross-section of 3500 mm² (Ø 67 mm diameter) - a boon for submarine cable producers.
A global presence has led STRECKER to an impressive customer base numbering renowned groups like MICHELIN, NEXANS, PRYSMIAN, SIEMENS, BMW, and VOLKSWAGEN. With exports to over 110 countries (40% out of Europe), STRECKER has established a strong network supported by more than 40 foreign representatives, ensuring excellent customer service and support.
Beyond welding and butt welding machines, STRECKER is dedicated to providing comprehensive services, from technical consultancy to commissioning, personnel training, and remote maintenance for efficient issue resolution. The company's commitment to environmental protection is commendable, as it operates in a climate-neutral and sustainable manner.
The passing of Managing Director Mr. Rainer Stock in late 2022 marked a transition of leadership, with his son Michael Stock now at the helm. Together with authorized signatories Mrs. Sigrun Möbus, Mr. Uwe Hastrich, and Mr. Kim Schmitt (in the picture on top), they continue the legacy of excellence laid down by the company's founder.
As the enterprise celebrates 90 years of success, Mr. Stock gratefully acknowledges the remarkable contributions of all employees, whose dedication and hard work have been the foundation of STRECKER's achievements: “Together, we can be proud of what we have achieved. We draw motivation from this for continuous progress in the future. STRECKER connects!"
With a proud history and a promising future, STRECKER remains committed to serving the wire and cable industries with its exceptional welding technology.
