MAXI i by CEA: energy efficiency and ease of use in MIG-MAG welding

CEA, a leading company in the welding technologies sector, is thrilled to present MAXI i, an inverter MIG-MAG welder with a separate wire feeder, conceived as an evolution of traditional step adjustment MIG equipment.

Welding quality, energy savings, and ease of use

MAXI i is the result of years of experience in the industry; it is the ideal solution for industrial settings and medium and heavy structural fabrication, where a simple, strong, and easy-to-use machine is needed. Compared to step-regulated MIG equipment, MAXI i offers significantly higher energy efficiency.

Equipped with two knobs—one for adjusting the welding voltage and one for regulating the wire feed speed—MAXI i provides the same ease of use as traditional MIG equipment.

It is available in two versions: the MAXI i with air cooling system and the MAXI i W with water-cooling system. To further optimize energy savings, the power source cooling fan and the torch water cooling system operate only as needed. Thanks to optimized power consumption and reduced energy waste, MAXI i guarantees a significant economic advantage without compromising welding quality.

WF 6 and WF 7 wire feeders

MAXI i can be equipped with the WF 6 or WF 7 wire feeders, designed to provide precise and constant wire feeding:

• 4 large diameter double-groove rolls, replaceable without tools.
Wire spools up to Ø 300 mm.
Inspection window for quick visual checks.
2/4 stroke selector switch.
Burn-back and motor ramp adjustment for precise and controlled arc.

The WF 7 features electronic voltage regulation.

However, it is also possible to operate the welder with the same interconnection cable used for MAXI and ECHO CEA welders and their respective wire feeders.

Fast Start Control technology for arc control

MAXI i is also equipped with the innovative Fast Start Control (FSC) technology, which drastically reduces the arc ignition time, making it ideal for spot welding and pre-assembly of components.

In conclusion, MAXI i is a fully manual welder, without automation, that brings the step-regulated machine interface to a new inverter platform. This allows for continuity in the user experience compared to older welding machine models while combining the quality and efficiency of modern inverters. Thanks to this configuration, CEA is able to offer a highly competitive solution that fully complies with ECO DESIGN regulations.

Accessories and configurations can be selected through a convenient configurator on CEA’s website, which we invite you to visit at this link.
