The new GEM integrated resistance welding cell presented at Euroblech

GEM would like to thank all visitors and customers for visiting the company booth at EuroBLECH 2016, the technological international exhibition about sheet metal working which took place in late October in Hanover, Germany.

During the event GEM celebrated 30 years of production by presenting a new machine: Marta System 10AX GUN Hybrid, designed to allow the customer to use a double type of welding: the main C-Gun can carry out projection welding operations, while a smaller scissors Gun mounted on a side of the C-Gun carries out spot welding operations.

It is an integrated resistance welding cell, fully CNC controlled and electrically operated. All the axis are interpolated. The steel linear slides are of the recirculating ball type; the system drive is provided by high efficiency brushless motors with absolute encoders (Bosch Rexroth/Keba) coupled with gear boxes and recirculating ballscrews.

The self-teaching programming is carried out by a powerful robot motion system. Through the mobile panel it is possible to operate the machine and select the most suitable welding parameters.

The DC Medium Frequency welding system grants high welding quality, an improved productivity and cost reduction.
