Sjogren Industries celebrates 90 years of innovation in wire tooling industry
Sjogren Industries is celebrating its 90th Anniversary as a leading solutions provider for the wire and cable industry. Founded in 1927 by Oscar Sjogren, the company has long been an innovator in the design and manufacturing of customized solutions for the wire tooling trades.
As a Swedish immigrant working in a wire mill in Worcester, MA, Sjogren had an idea that would change the wire and cable industry forever. He designed a tool that would make him better at his job and he had the integrity to show that tool to his supervisor. After selling the tool to the mill, Sjogren used it in his daily work. It was the first of series of innovations that would eventually lead to Sjogren forming his own company.
In 1986, Carl Sjogren stepped into his great-grandfather’s shoes and helped lead the company through an unprecedented period of growth, expanding Sjogren Industries with a new manufacturing facility in Worcester while extending product sales into European markets.
Today Sjogren Industries delivers high quality machinery, tooling and accessories to a worldwide customer base with distributors located in Europe, South Africa, Asia, and Mexico. In 2017, Sjogren Industries will deliver several new products to the market including the Static Dancer Roll (patent pending) for wire drawing machines.
