Sjogren Industries offers solutions for wire-tooling trade

Company continues legacy of innovation that positively
impacts every part of your business.
The Sjogren belief that “simple ideas make better solutions” has been at the core of its innovative product designs since its inception.

For operations, Sjogren has innovated both the power and hand pointer units and the die stringer for wet draw machines.

The Sjogren Power Pointer is used to sufficiently reduce the wire diameter to allow the wire to pass through a drawing die. Once enough material has passed through the die it can be gripped by a puller and then drawn around the block. Since time and efficiency is important, the power pointer offers the quickest solution to pointing.

Sjogren’s Hand Pointer provides an even simpler solution to the wire pointing process. It is operated by rotating the handle back and forth 90° while feeding the wire in and out of the appropriate size opening in the rolls. The Hand Pointer offers flexible mounting options, there is no need for electricity, and the process can save time and money by eliminating hand grinding / filing methods.

Sjogren’s Die Stringer simplifies the stringing of wet draw machines, saving time on the factory floor and reducing the risk of operator injury. It is available as a bench top unit or mounted on a stand with heavy-duty casters.

For quality control, Sjogren Industries has developed a line of testing and handling equipment that test for hardness and ductility and can identify a variety of flaws.

Sjogren’s Bench Top Wrap Tester is designed to test spring wire for ductility, or to test the adhesion of metallic coatings. The test consists of coiling the wire in a closely spaced helix to enable visual inspection for cracks or fractures.

The Torsion Twist Tester identifies brittleness, inclusions, hidden seams, and other flaws.
Sjogren also provides a variety of wedge grip, wedge block, and insert style testing jaws compatible with the most popular tensile testing machines.

A manufacturing innovator since 1927, Sjogren Industries provides the highest quality machinery, tooling, and accessories for the wire and cable industry.
