Rod ends, spherical bearings, and angled ball joints by Berardi: features and potentials
Spherical joints serve mainly in precision mechanics and processing systems for machine and plant construction. These components transfer and deflect forces when connecting moving parts of a machine.
Rod ends
The steel-bronze combination (A-AB) maintains high performance at high working speeds. The stainless steel-bronze version (I-AB) ensures corrosion resistance, while the sintered bronze bushing provides self-lubrication.
Spherical bearings
Available in the following versions:
- Steel/steel – self-lubricating
- Steel/PTFE metallic fabric (for reduced friction)
- Stainless steel/PTFE metallic fabric (reduced friction and corrosion resistance)
Angled ball joints
Available with internal or external spring (extra safety), zinc plated, or stainless steel. Other possible variations:
- left-hand thread;
- fine thread;
- longer version (for further adjustments);
- shorter version (for reduced space).
