Self-anchoring studs and nuts for metal sheets

n

Caruso Fasteners, a specialist in the supply of fasteners for more than 30 years, markets a wide range of self-clinching inserts, studs, nuts, plugs, and columns. This type of fasteners are used to create extremely strong fixings on thin perforated metal sheets. Application materials usually include steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper.

The range is divided as follows:

Standard stainless steel and aluminum self-clinching nuts
This type of self-clinching nuts allows obtaining high torsion and extraction values.

Flush nuts
Flat fasteners designed for applications on sheet metal that are too soft to be tapped. They can be inserted from both sides, avoiding encumbrances on the metal surface.

Miniature fasteners nuts
For creating solid fixings with reduced overall dimensions. Available in both standard version and with self-locking thread.

Blind watertight nuts
Self-clinging nuts are used to build watertight and waterproof threads, required for use on materials exposed to atmospheric corrosion, moisture, dirt, and dust.

Floating nuts
Self-anchoring fasteners with a floating inner part; these are necessary to recover the interaxes of the holes up to 0.8 mm. They are typically used on large monolithic parts.

Self-locking nuts with nylon insert
Made of hardened steel or AISI 300 stainless steel, they feature a self-locking nylon insert.

Studs for thin gauge metal sheets
The fastener profile is designed to achieve high torque and ejection values. The stud head “drowns” completely in the sheet, with the threaded part placed perfectly perpendicular to the sheet.

High-torque self clinch studs
Enable to create particularly strong fasteners with high torsion resistance. Suitable for thin sheets.

Studs with embedded head
Used to create male threads on sheet metal with a minimum thickness of 1.6 mm. They should be inserted into a blind hole, allowing maximum versatility on the opposite surface of the metal sheet.

Small head self-clinching stud
Allow installation closer to the cut edges of the material.

Self-clinching plugs
Employed to create stable reference points on load-bearing structures. They also offer great resistance to tensile strength and ejection on sheets at least 1 mm thick.

Spacer posts and columns with unthreaded through-hole
Self-clinching fasteners for making pyramidal metal structures. They offer the huge advantage of being able to fix multi-level structures by passing a single tie rod through the column.
