Expert insights: FAR’s technician to discuss the company’s latest innovations

Let’s start with the ALV-IN rivet. What makes it unique?

“This exclusive FAR product features a galvanized steel mandrel, designed to meet the needs of honeycomb panel users. The ALV-IN rivet stands out for three main features that make it ideal for this application: wide deformation for improved pull-out resistance, an aluminum sleeve suited for soft or fragile materials, and a compact size that prevents through-holes, preserving the panel's aesthetic.”

Another recently introduced product is the threaded insert ICT. What are its features?

“This insert is designed to create a threaded element on soft or fragile panels where threaded holes are impractical. Its wide deformation enhances strength while maintaining the integrity of the underlying material, ensuring a secure and reliable installation.” 

Will there be an opportunity to see FAR’s latest innovations at trade shows in the future?

“Absolutely. FAR will showcase these products, as well as its entire range and new solutions in automatic riveting systems, at the upcoming MECSPE, held in Bologna from March 5 to 7, 2025, and LAMIERA, taking place in Rho (MI) from May 6 to 9, 2025. These events are must-attends for industry specialists!”
