Mecavit in Stuttgart: strengthening ties and opening new international channels

Mecavit, a Bologna-based company specializing in fastener production, took part in the latest edition of Fastener Fair Global in Stuttgart. We asked Mr. Giuseppe Verdoliva from the Mecavit team to share his impressions of the German trade show.

Mecavit’s take on Fastener Fair Global

“The biennial Fastener Fair Global is, in fact, the most important event in our industry. The 2025 edition did not disappoint expectations, despite being scheduled during what is perhaps the most difficult period of the past ten years, within an especially critical economic context and in the European country currently experiencing the deepest industrial crisis since the post-war era. Given these circumstances, many industry players opted not to exhibit, attending only as visitors instead.”

“For Mecavit, visitor turnout was very positive,” Mr. Giuseppe Verdoliva stated. “It was the perfect opportunity to present our new corporate structure, which has been leading the company’s operations with renewed drive over the past few months. Visitors had the chance to match their needs with our solutions and to get a close look at our custom-designed production, which is primarily aimed at the automotive sector—still our most qualifying segment.”

“Most visitors were from Europe, but we also had valuable interactions with overseas distributors and manufacturers who, for the first time, showed interest in a European supply chain as a real alternative to the Asian model. We’ve taken part in several Fastener Fair editions, not only to strengthen our market presence but also to engage openly with other European manufacturers in the field, without any concern about competition. Once again, these exchanges proved extremely positive—our openness to industrial and production collaboration was highly appreciated.”
