Minsavit expands its machine shop: a new 5-station header
Minsavit, a specialist in the cold forming of small metal parts and special screws, has recently updated its machine shop with a brand new 5-station header.
The Sacma SP260EL joins the existing heading machine, which has been operating in the corporate workshop for many years. This new model brings along a variety of new features. First of all, an extra station allows more processing operations without needing secondary operation machines, in some cases. Moreover, it makes it possible to process longer and more complex parts. In one fell swoop, Minsavit can save time and also expand the production mix. But that's not all: the new Sacma header is equipped with an assortment of latest-generation technologies, such as the automatic wire puller, the touch-screen panel and the electronic handwheel, which significantly streamline the header tooling and monitoring operations. The tools dimensions are also important. Being almost identical to the already well-proven model greatly simplifies the transfer of production from one header to another, with the great advantage of having a double machine in operation. In case of unexpected failures on one, the production continues on the other. In this way, Minsavit can always support its customers.
An important investment for the Italian company, which is part of an Industry 4.0 campaign aiming at modernizing the machine shop. The integration between Fastdev and S+K, together with the implementation of a vertical warehouse, has kick-started this process. Minsavit can now monitor, schedule, and check the production progress or undesired machine stops from any PC location.
Another small step to satisfy every kind of need in terms of speed, flexibility, and technology.
