Precision Technology Supplies is proud to be the Accurate Manufactured Products Group (AMPG) sole European distributor and partner for their premium brand product range of both Metric and Imperial precision shoulder screws. AMPG has assembled the largest and most complete line of nonferrous shoulder screws manufactured in North America. All material is DFARS compliant and so we are pleased to be able to supply material certificates, upon request, for all items (a surcharge will apply).

There are two types of shoulder screws, knurled head and smooth head. Both screw types have shoulders that are held to a precise diameter. This dimension determines the type of component the shoulder can accommodate. They are both precision fasteners. The shoulder gives the screw its versatility by acting as shafts for rotating items such as bearings and bushings, axles for rolling parts and guides for sliding elements.

Each shoulder bolt is manufactured in one operation. AMPG begin with precision ground DFARS compliant material with full traceability. They then run the parts on state of the art Swiss Lathes. A finished part is made without the need for secondary broaching, slotting or thread rolling which can lead to many inconsistencies. Their process ensures shoulder diameter concentricity and tight tolerances. Each part is then carefully handled, cleaned and packaged.

Shoulder screws (also known as stripper bolts) are ordered dimensionally by shoulder diameter and then by shoulder length, for example, 8.0mm shoulder diameter (M6 thread size) x 20mm shoulder length. This is unlike other bolts and screws, where they are ordered by thread size x total length of thread plus any shank, for example, M8 X 60mm.
