Rivit marine division: sealed rivets and much more

Marine industry is one field where fasteners shine: for this reason, Rivit has been developing over time a wide variety of stainless steel rivet nuts and blind rivets for this specific market.

Among the company’s solutions for this sector there is LOCKRIV, an innovative rivet product line featuring body deformation through compression that creates a large blind side bearing area. This ensures wide hole diameter tolerance and enhanced shear and traction resistance, making these products perfect for fiberglass usage.

Moreover, the Italian firm engineers, manufactures, and supplies sealed rivets with a special sealed end instead of the usual open hole - hence they are well suited for boxes and containers in order to prevent liquid penetration or leaking.

But that is not all: another top-of-the-line Rivit system for the marine division is called MULTIGRIPRIV. It’s a unique rivet that allows to tighten multiple thicknesses with one single length. Thanks to the particular mandrel and body geometry it is possible to create a large blind side bearing area against the rear sheet by deformation through compression in order to completely fill the hole.

For the correct installation of the aforementioned products it is strongly advisable to use hydro-pneumatic tools RIV505 and RIV508 (for standard blind rivets up to ø4.8 mm and ø7.8 mm, respectively).
