Fittings are an essential part for connecting pipes, tubes and other components. They are widely used especially in hydraulic engineering, as well as in the pneumatic, oleodynamic and industrial fields.

The main types of fittings include tube reducers and screw adapters: tube reducers are used to connect tubes and pipes of different sizes, while screw adapters are used to attach seamless tubes with threaded ones and vice versa; several other types of fittings are also available. Based on the applications, different materials can be used, such as copper, brass, stainless steel, aluminum or plastics.
