An ethical spring manufacturer: Co.El awarded in Florence

From September 25 to 27, 2020, the charming city of Florence (Italy) hosted the National Festival of Civil Economy. Three days dedicated to promote "good practices" related to sustainable development, innovation, and a new economy that values people more than goods.

During the event, the spring manufacturer Co.el was awarded the important prize of "Ambassador of Civil Economy 2020". Since its foundation, Co.El has demonstrated multiple times that it is possible to carry on business ethically: for starters, since the ‘80s, Co.El. has stopped producing springs for the arms industry. Furthermore, the company is also committed to buying metal wire and raw materials from Italian producers and suppliers only, and investing its resources in the real economy and not in finance.

This prestigious award marks an important milestone for the founder and entrepreneur Angelo Cortesi, who has spent his entire career fostering values and good practices to find the perfect mix of common good and business.
