Custom-designed compression springs in carbon and stainless steel
Cecchi is a renowned spring manufacturer rooted in Florence, Italy, specializing in the production of a wide range of springs, including compression springs in standard lengths and custom designs in carbon steel, stainless steel, or other materials.
Compression springs are essential and versatile mechanical components that store elastic energy in the form of axial force when compressed.
Cecchi compression springs: materials, finishes, and technical specifications
Cecchi's compression springs are manufactured from top-quality materials, including C98 carbon steel, 302 or 316 stainless steel, copper/nickel alloys, beryllium copper, and Inconel.
Additionally, to meet specific aesthetic and corrosion resistance requirements, Cecchi can apply various surface finishes to its compression springs, such as galvanization, Dacromet coating, phosphating, tin plating, and gold plating.
The finished products are made to customer-specified dimensions, with nominal wire diameters (d) ranging from 0.15 mm to 5.00 mm.
Compression springs can be produced with ground ends for a flat bearing surface; conical springs (with large outer diameter/small outer diameter) can also be manufactured.
Standard length compression springs of 400 mm
Cecchi’s extensive selection of compression springs includes over 270 models with a standard length of 400 mm, featuring the following technical characteristics:
- Nominal wire diameter (d): from 0.50 mm to 6 mm
- Outer spring diameter (De): from 3 mm to 50 mm
- Total number of coils: between 27.5 and 267
- Spring pitch (p): between 1.50 mm and 14.50 mm
- Axial load of the spring, i.e., the load the spring returns after compression/elongation (F): between 0.43 N and 3221.80 N
- Deflection (compression/elongation) of the spring (s) calculated for the spring compressed to ⅓ of the total length: 133 mm
- Spring rate (R): between 0.00 N/mm and 18.78 N/mm
Cecchi's compression springs are used in a wide range of industrial sectors, including fashion, electronics, medical, aerospace, energy, and many others.
