Mollificio Costanzino - two newcomers in the machine shop

Mollificio Costanzino has been conducting a large investment campaign focusing on innovation and renewal throughout all 2019. The Italian company has recently installed 2 new MicroStudio machines: a PMF series machine for high speed cycle tests of compression and extension springs and a LED3D high accuracy camera analyser for the geometry of the springs.

These are the main features of the PMF300-R for high-speed cycle tests of compression and extension springs:

- speed adjustable by touch screen;
- cycle counters adjustable by operator;
- slow-motion of the crosspiece for an easier spring insertion;
- electronic arrest to prevent the springs from breaking;
- stroke regulation through eccentric lever;
- fast setup thanks to a display that electronically measures the stroke.

The LED3D-100H is a high accuracy camera analyzer for the geometry of springs. This advanced tool allows the parallelism and verticality of the products to be 3D projected. Moreover, it features a high resolution camera, a stone basement and a wider test area.
The LED3D-100H can measure, to name a few:

- the free length L0;
- the coil’s outside diameter;
- the verticality e1 of cylindrical springs;
- the concentricity of conical or biconical springs;
- the ground angle surface of the first coil;
- the smallest thickness of the ground first coil (z);
- the trend of the coil distance;
- the 3D outline of the spring.
