Zig-zag springs, the proposals of Mollificio Lecchese
What are zig-zag springs? What are the most common uses and applications?
Zig-zag springs, also known as no-sag springs, are those sinuous metal products resulting from wire bending, used mainly in chairs, sofa upholstery, and seats to impart elasticity and support to seats. The spring manufacturer Mollificio Lecchese, which has always kept up with the latest innovations, is one of the few companies in Europe to have invested in zig-zag spring manufacturing machinery to satisfy even the most demanding customers.
The Italy-based company produces standard and round zig-zag springs made of steel wire with a diameter ranging from 2.80 to 4.10 millimeters. According to the customer's needs, the lengths are all cut to size. It is possible for the standard type to request zig-zag springs with curves from 1 up to 10 cm.
Mollificio Lecchese's product spectrum also includes coils with a length of 30 meters and a steel wire diameter ranging from 2.80 to 4.00 mm. Fixing clips made from plasticized iron tape complete the assortment.
For more than 25 years, Mollificio Lecchese has been active in the production of springs of all types, including compression, extension, torsion and double-torsion, and zig-zag springs. Bent and assembled and sheared metal parts also feature in the range offered.
