It significantly reduces harmful emissions, improving air quality inside the facility—ensuring a safer environment for operators—and in the surrounding area.


Diamond grinding wheels

To optimize processing and reduce industrial waste, Mollificio Romagnoli has replaced traditional abrasive wheels with diamond grinding wheels. This change has resulted in a dual benefit: an annual reduction of 800 kg of abrasive residues, minimizing the amount of generated waste, and improved durability and precision in machining, enhancing production efficiency.


Automatic system shutdown

Another impactful innovation is the automatic shutdown system implementation. This solution deactivates equipment when machines are not in operation, preventing unnecessary energy consumption and optimizing overall efficiency.


Clean energy and waste reduction

Photovoltaic system

The company has invested in the installation of a 170 kW photovoltaic system, which supplies an average of 35% of the facility’s energy needs. This not only leads to significant cost savings on energy but also substantially reduces CO₂ emissions related to production.


LED lighting

Another energy-saving initiative was the complete revamping of the production area, replacing outdated neon lamps with low-consumption LED systems. This upgrade has resulted in a 50% reduction in energy consumption while simultaneously improving lighting quality in the workplace.

Sustainable logistics: reusable packaging and materials

Reducing plastic in packaging

The company has adopted technical polymer films for pallet wrapping, reducing plastic usage per shipped unit by 46%. This initiative helps minimize waste and enhances the sustainability of logistics operations.


Reusable containers

To further reduce environmental impact, Mollificio Romagnoli has replaced traditional single-use cardboard boxes with reusable containers for several customers. This shift significantly decreases packaging material consumption and improves industrial waste management.
