Helical compression springs

Mollificio Torri’s helical compression springs consist of right or left coil windings subject to axial forces.

There are different types of helical compression springs, including cylindrical, conical, biconical, produced with constant or variable pitch and having open, closed, or closed and ground ends. The diameter of helical compression springs ranges from 0.20 mm to 10.00 mm.

Materials used in manufacturing include carbon spring steels according to EN10270-1 by classes SM, SH, DM and DH with phosphating or pre-galvanizing pre-treatments.

For stainless steel springs, steels according to standard EN10270-3 from classes Aisi 302, 304H and 316 are used. Aluminum, brass, and phosphor bronze wire are added to these materials.

Available treatments include phosphating, black and white zinc plating, painting, and various heat treatments.

Helical compression springs find applications in automotive, furniture, mechanical engineering, etc.
