Fusion makes strength: Specialinsert presents the self-locking Deform-Nut®

In some cases, it is impossible to work from the inside of a steel or aluminum profile with a square and rectangular shape. Therefore, fastening can be extremely complex and tiring. Specialinsert has the quick, simple, and safe solution to this problem.

From the fusion of a riveted insert and a self-locking nut comes the self-locking Deform-Nut®: the ideal anti-unscrewing system for fastening parts which are subject to the risk of loosening and strong vibrations.

It is a deformable tubular rivet designed, patented, and produced by Specialinsert® with a self-locking thread. Available cylindrical or hexagonal, it is equipped with a nylon ring at the end of the thread which tightens the screw during assembly.

The self-locking Deform-Nut® can be easily installed on tubes, profiles, and all those supports where a nut insertion would be too troublesome. It offers all the advantages of the classic rivets combined with the functions of self-locking nuts:

- installation on particularly narrow and/or intricate locations;
- guaranteed anti-unscrewing despite the lack of additional components (thread lockers, spring washers);
- quick installation of the connecting screw without the need for two wrenches (unlike the self-locking nut).

Deform-Nut® nut is also available in galvanized steel and stainless steel, in different geometries. Below are the technical specifications:
