Specialinsert celebrates half a century of success
Specialinsert, a company specializing in the production and distribution of fastening systems, proudly celebrates 50 years of innovation. Founded in 1974 as a trading company, it began with the ingenious idea of converting the dimensional specifications of the Deform-nut® threaded tubular rivet from inches to millimeters. Over time, it evolved into a leading manufacturer , adapting to market demands and establishing itself as a technological partner for the entire fastener sector.
Half a century dedicated to R&D has led to numerous trademarks and patents, alongside many accolades. Among the most prestigious, the “Star of Merit for Labor” award was granted by decree of the President of Italy to Piero Arduini, Specialinsert’s founder, recognizing his leadership, expertise, diligence, and moral integrity. These values are upheld by the second generation of the family, who continue the company’s mission with the same ethical approach and a forward-looking perspective.
People at the heart of the company
Teamwork, professionalism, and a focus on employee well-being are at the core of Specialinsert’s values. To mark this milestone anniversary, the company celebrated with its collaborators, whose contributions have shaped its excellence over the years. Employees and their families were invited to enjoy a holiday in South Tyrol at the Falkensteiner Family Resort Lido in Val Pusteria, offering a unique opportunity to strengthen their sense of belonging.
Specialinsert in the details that matter
During their stay, one detail caught the employees’ attention: the backlit panels displaying the hotel's room numbers were secured using the Fast-Con® insert, a product of their company. This patented snap-fit closure system with adjustable tension perfectly exemplifies versatility in application. Made of stainless steel, the innovative press-fit fastening system was chosen for its ability to quickly and securely connect panels and claddings, ensuring safety, aesthetics, and, when needed, easy inspection.
“We look to the future with a commitment to developing ever more advanced solutions and improving existing ones,” says Cinzia Arduini, CEO of Specialinsert. She continues: “Our R&D department is working on new technologies to simplify Fast-Con® installation. Additionally, experimenting with materials like titanium opens up opportunities in niche segments with significant economic and strategic potential.” She concludes: “We are also designing the preventive application of a polymer on inserts to eliminate adhesives, ensuring more efficient fastening. Moreover, we are developing an alternative to the floating olive component to address its availability and sustainability challenges.”
