Genoa has a new bridge: the contribution of Nuova Defim Orsogril in a series of videos

At last, the new viaduct in Genoa has become a reality: after less than two years, the construction works have been completed. The role of Nuova Defim Orsogril in this major architectural work? Supplying more than 5000 panels of Potissimum grating for the paving of the pedestrian walkways along the entire bridge (1067 meters).

The project was documented by the Feralpi Group in a series of videos called "The rebirth of the new bridge of Genoa" with the aim of telling the stories of those who worked day and night to bring the new viaduct to life. More specifically, the Group has shot five different videos — each one is intended to be a snapshot of a precise moment. Let's see them in detail.

Part One — "The reconstruction"

The journey begins with the words and memories of Fabio Citterio, sales manager of Nuova Defim Orsogril: it is also thanks to his dream that the entire company was involved in the project.

Part Two — "Projecting a new start"

In this second chapter, Paolo Brenna (head of the technical department) describes when, during the lockdown, the company received the order from Fincantieri. The desire to restart, enthusiasm, and determination are the feelings told in this episode.

Part Three — "A huge moment of pride for all of us"

Giovanni Viggiano, head of production, and his collaborators Rosita Orlando and Andrea Corti talk about the very production of the Potissimum grating for the entire project. The immense pride in everyone's words marks the images of this part.

Part Four — "The last step towards Genoa"

The last steps of a journey are often the most emotional ones. This one in particular has involved countless collaborators: those final steps have been taken by Giovanni Alfonso, one of the drivers of Nuova Defim Orsogril. He and Elisabetta Marelli, from the logistics office, describe their share of this experience.
