New Defim Orsogril chosen to finish the new PwC Tower in Milan

New Defim Orsogril chosen to finish the new PwC Tower in Milan

The latest addition to the CityLife master plan in Milan is the PwC Tower, designed by the world-famous architect Daniel Libeskind and clearly inspired by the Renaissance.
The structure, featuring a unique “curved” design, is 175 meters high: 34 total levels (of which 28 floors) and a large glazed volume at the top (the "Crown") bring the total area to more than 33,500 square meters.

To create a “walkable wall” on the top of the Tower, the direction of the works asked for Nuova Defim Orsogril. The Utilior® press-locked grating, a flagship in the corporate product portfolio, was the perfect choice for this masterpiece. Thanks to the excellent support of the technical department, Nuova Defim Orsogril manufactured approximately 600 anodized aluminum panels (mesh opening 33x33 mm from 30x3 mm flat bars) for a total area of about 1,000 square meters.
This new Tower is the natural companion of the other two skyscrapers in the largest pedestrian area of Milan, Piazza Tre Torri. The three buildings have been carefully positioned to provide appropriate shade yet maximum light at the pedestrian level, and they create a special and distinct skyline.
With innovative spaces and a modern and stimulating working environment, the new Tower is a destination and a reference point not only for the economic-financial community as a whole, but also for non-insiders during city initiatives.
