Behind the scenes of Giorinastri’s lifting systems

Giorinastri has effectively adapted to market dynamics. The continuous availability of straps for lifting systems production and precise warehouse monitoring are two foundational pillars of the company’s productive efficiency.

Inventory management and stock control

The Giorinastri warehouse maintains an average stock of 130,000-150,000 meters of strap in five main widths:

- 35 mm with a breaking load (BL) of 3200 kg;
- 40 mm, BL of 4000 kg;
- 50 mm, BL of 5000 kg;
- 50 mm, BL of 6000 kg;
- 60 mm, BL of 8500 kg.

This approach ensures that the material is consistently ready for cutting and adaptation. The company’s management system provides a clear, detailed view of inventory, enabling efficient monitoring and timely replenishment of minimum stock levels.

Synergy between technology and human expertise

Beyond its management system, Giorinastri relies on its extensive experience and in-depth market knowledge. Thanks to strong relationships with many clients, the company often anticipates production in advance of orders, aware of reordering lead times.

To ensure rapid response even in peak demand periods, Giorinastri has 40 looms, all configured to produce a variety of strap types. This production flexibility prevents disruptions to other production lines.

The step-by-step production process

The strap manufacturing process involves several stages, each aimed at ensuring quality and compliance with regulatory standards:

Request for quotation: receipt of product specifications from the customer.
Order receipt and management system entry: order entry for inventory control and potential stock update.
Stock check and replenishment: verification of inventory and restocking as needed.
Preparation of identification labels: each batch is labeled as per UNI EN 1492 standards.
Preparation for stitching department: straps are cut to size and prepared to create the lifting system.
Load testing: materials undergo testing to ensure compliance with load and safety requirements.
Batch production: once compliance is confirmed, production proceeds.
Final check and control: the batch is verified post-production.
Shipping: The finished product is then shipped to the client and ready for use.

Giorinastri’s production efficiency stems from striking the right balance between technology and deep-rooted expertise, with dynamic inventory management and a rigorous production process. Discover more about the company’s solutions through the references on its online stand.
