Matter, a new challenge in the United States

The quality and efficiency of Matter automatic storage solutions is well known overseas. Zekelman Industries – a leading manufacturer of structural tubes and pipelines – turned to the Italian company for the construction of a 7000 m2 smart warehouse. The plant will be installed at the Wheatland Tube facility in Ohio (USA).

This is a massive, fully customized project that will integrate seamlessly with the customer's tube production lines. Specifically, the innovative automated warehouse will pick up finished pipes from the machines, transporting them to the storage system. From there, the products will be moved to a truck-only loading area and shipped to the customer. The new logistics system will require minimal operator intervention—significantly increasing the company's safety and shipping capacity while eliminating product damage.

The warehouse is expected to be operational in December 2022.
