Automatic warehouses: yet another successful case history for DimaSimma

Tecnomeccanica Biellese specializes in the construction of machines and plants for the preparation of textiles fibers for spinning. Over the last few years, the company has been providing its technologies also for the metal sheet processing industry.

In 2019, Tecnomeccanica Biellese contacted DimaSimma for the optimization of production spaces and for a safer and more efficient management of the material - which will in turn ensure a faster retrieval.

All these problems have been solved by replacing the old horizontal warehouse with a new automated vertical plant.

This new system, specifically designed for metal sheets storage and handling, consists of 300 drawers, each with a capacity of 3000 kg with size ranging from 1500x2000 mm to 1500x6000mm.



A brand new DimaSimma automated forklift  takes care of the movement of the drawers, by driving along magnetic routes, located on predefined paths in the hallways.

Thanks to this new automatic storage system, Tecnomeccanica Biellese managed to fulfill its operational requirements, with significant time and resource savings.
