Weighpack supplies a tailor-made packaging line for cold forged components

Weighpack, a company specialized in the development and production of inspection and weighing machines, as well as packaging lines for fasteners, has recently supplied a complete tailor-made packaging line for cold forged components to Heico Befestigungstechnik GmbH.

This new line will allow a faster packaging process, by being extremely reliable and almost completely automated. Direct involvement of an operator is required at the beginning, in order to scan the bar code, before introducing the product bin in the lift & tip unit. After that, the system will automatically recognize the introduction of a new batch order, as well as all other relevant information such as the product type, packing type, quantity per pack, VDA label information and pallet stacking.

A vision camera system will also detect any form of alien contamination of the products, be it from water or oil, deformation or damage; it will then reposition it in the correct orientation, in case the box is facing the wrong labeling position. The option of applying an anti-corrosion paper sheet at the bottom of empty KLT boxes or on top of filled boxes is also available upon request.

The packaging line also features an integrated horizontal bag maker, especially designed for the packing of low volume, high weight products; and a palletizer, meant for the stacking of KLT boxes and low volume, high weight boxes.

This line will ensure the cold forged parts manufacturer Heico Befestigungstechnik Gmbh the possibility to meet the ever-increasing customer needs, both in terms of packaging and customized labeling.
