Condat, new online exposer, presents VICAFIL TN 1630

A new generation of soluble sodium soap: VICAFIL TN 1630 by Condat.

Environmental legislations are constantly evolving; among the latest European regulations governing REACH and the use of Biocides, The European authorities have implemented a new classification, which aims at reducing the use of Borax.
For certain wire drawing applications and processes, borax remains an exceptional additive, specifically for the formulation of soluble sodium soaps: binding qualities, solubility and thermal stability. In order to meet with the new regulation and to anticipate its next application, CONDAT is now able to offer a wider selection of dry drawing lubricants without borax or with very limited amounts of borax.

After years of research and thanks to extensive field testing (in partnership with leading wire drawing companies), CONDAT has set up a new generation of soluble sodium soap: VICAFIL TN 1630 This product has been developed with very low borax content (below the limits planned by the European Commission) and provides improved performance, even for the most severe wire drawing operations of high carbon steel.

This new VICAFIL TN1630 has been tested for one year by our customers and partners who noticed:
-Higher softening temperature range allowing to work at higher speed,
-Higher adhesion on the wire surface, resulting in improved lubrication, die life, and surface quality,
-Reduced consumption due to the reduction of compacted black soap in the die bock, improving productivity,
-Reduction of dust on the wire drawing machines, giving a safer and healthier environment to operators.

VICAFIL TN1630 can be used for high carbon applications wherever a high quality product is required. Different granulometries are available:
VICAFIL TN 1630 X: beaded, large
VICAFIL TN 1630 T: beaded, medium
VICAFIL TN 1630: medium powder

VICAFIL TN1630 will keep the current labelling for sodium soaps, as it complies with REACH & 30th ATP. The intent of CONDAT is to offer to its customers enduring products that they can supply for a long period of time.
