Soluble lubricants and pastes for wet drawing

VICAFIL SL are liquid lubricants that need to be diluted in water. These products are recommended for the wet drawing of steel, copper-plated or galvanized wires. The main purpose of the VICAFIL SL line is dissipating the heat produced by metal forming operations, as well as limiting friction through anti-wear and extreme pressure additives in the formulation.

According to their appearance once diluted, they are classified as follows:

- milky appearance, from the size of the oil droplets in the water. They provide the most lubricating performance;

- opalescent appearance: the size of the droplets is smaller, around one micron. These micro-emulsions offer a good balance between cleanliness and lubricating performance;

- clear appearance: with the smallest droplets. True or 100% synthetic solutions, these fluids are generally specifically formulated to draw the finest wires, where cleanliness is a must.

VICAFIL SP, instead, is a range of pastes that can be used either pure, to ensure great lubrication in single-pass operations, or diluted, to be cleaned off easily.
