Soluble lubricants for aluminum wire drawing

The lubricant leading expert CONDAT Group has developed a range of formulations specifically tailored to the drawing of aluminum and alloys to be used in electrical wire and cables.

Formulated from bases with viscosities below 150 cSt, the VICAFIL TFA product line offers:

- improved filterability with better separation of aluminium fines;
- reduced consumption through reduction in drag out on the wires;
- easy pumping.

The synthetic products also offer minimal residue and stain on the aluminum surface after annealing, while the semi-synthetic products provide high-lubricating properties that ensure a longer die life. Also available a range of water-soluble concentrates that can be used for drawing copper wires as well as aluminium: the VICAFIL TAL range.
