Enter CUPROCOND 67 L: the liquid chemical for copper plating tire and welding wire

Condoroil is happy to introduce CUPROCOND 67 L, a new single component liquid chemical for wire copper plating. In a nutshell, the product works by creating an adherent and uniform copper film on the steel wire surface and is used by immersion (after cleaning, pickling and rinsing). The parameters are set based on the material to be treated, the process used, and complexity of the following drawing steps. 

CUPROCOND 67 L is particularly suitable for tire and welding wire: in the Automotive industry, the traditional carbon steel wire was replaced around the ‘80s with coppered wire, which dramatically improves the resistance and performance of tires. The copper layer binds to the special rubber of the tire, reinforcing the overall structure of the finished product.

In the welding market the copper wire must have, besides conductivity, a shiny aesthetic appearance. Thanks to the addition of corrosion inhibitors, CUPROCOND 67 L slows down the parasitic acid dissolution process, consequently reducing the formation of hydrogen. Inert surfactants have also been included, which provide a uniform adhesion reaction of the copper layer and antioxidant agents, shielding the wire from the corrosive action of the atmospheric agents.
