Faster stainless steel pickling with Condoroil

In order to increase the pickling speed and to reduce the treatment times, Condoroil has designed a new pickling product for stainless steel, under the name of DESCALINOX FAST.
DESCALINOX FAST represents the evolution of a series of “environmentally friendly” pickling products free of nitric acid developed and patented by Condoroil in 1989.
The general characteristics of the pickling solutions which use DESCALINOX FAST therefore do not differ from those made with the previous products and which are still actual: DESCALINOX P 13, P14, and P17.
They are:
- Nitric and hydrochloric acid free with low concentration of hydrofluoric acid (<1%) (not to be considered in the count for SEVESO directive as concerns the concentrations of hydrofluoric acid) - Performing in a wide range of iron concentration (from 25 to 100 g/l of dissolved iron) - Not corrosive towards the matrix and welding - Granting a high quality surface appearance - Regenerable with acid retardation resins (Resibed units) and/or decationizers (Dynarec unit)   As peculiar characteristic, the solution of DESCALINOX FAST has a higher pickling speed achieved with the addition of particular additives that act as activators to the etching of the oxides.
The reduction of pickling times allows to process very difficult materials (e.g. Duplex, Superduplex, alloys for electrodes, ecc) in more acceptable times and to deal with production growth without modifying the pickling plant.
