Proteco accelerates CTC line production: new orders and future strategies

Proteco, a company specializing in the design and manufacture of machines and complete lines for wire and cable processing, is currently building multiple CTC lines for various markets, including Turkey, Brazil, China, the United States, India, and Europe.
Global demand on the rise
The increasing demand highlights the importance of these technologies in the electrical conductor sector and reinforces Proteco’s role as a key supplier. A noteworthy trend is emerging from China, where customers traditionally purchased only the transposing machine, the core of the CTC line. However, they are now shifting towards complete solutions, including the new "starter pack" configurations. These setups include an unwinder, transposing machine, taping units, and caterpillar, excluding the initial stranding cage and final take-up unit. The electronics and software of these solutions remain under Proteco’s direct control, ensuring reliability and high performance.
Recent sales in Brazil and the United States indicate that these markets will play a central role in the coming years. Forecasts suggest at least five more years of strong demand for CTC lines, with Europe also preparing for new investments in this sector.
Production strategies and delivery time reduction
To meet the growing demand, Proteco is reorganizing its production processes to increase capacity and reduce delivery times for its CTC lines. This strategy will enable the company to strengthen its position in an expanding market.
At its Italy-based headquarters, Proteco operates a CTC test line, allowing customers to test machines using their own copper strips. Additionally, a new in-house taping line is under development and will be showcased to potential clients visiting the facility, providing a hands-on demonstration of the company’s capabilities.
Trade shows and expansion into new markets
Proteco recently participated in Wire & Tube Monterrey in Mexico, in collaboration with ICE Italian Trade. Looking ahead, the company plans to attend Wire & Tube Bangkok in mid-September 2025. This participation will be an opportunity to strengthen business relationships in the Southeast Asian market, further expanding Proteco’s international reach.
With a rapidly expanding market and a growth-oriented strategy, Proteco continues to establish itself as a reference point in CTC line production, focusing on innovation, quality, and global presence.
