Proteco lands in South Africa with its new CTC line
Geography is no limit to Proteco. The company has indeed installed the first CTC (Continuously Transposed Cables) production line in South Africa, as the first application of its advanced technology on the African continent.
CTCs are enameled ropes of rectangular wires, transposed to create a sort of thread, which reduce electrical losses, improve the mechanical strength, and shorten the winding time, compared to conventional wires.
