Windak’s range of coilers is expanding to meet the current market demands of the wire, cable, and tubing industry. The new FlexCoiler Model FC8 is specifically designed to match a wide range of cable and coil sizes while keeping the setup time between different product and coil dimensions minimal.
The FC8 coiler is a fully automatic single-head machine able to process a max. of 4 coils per minute with an inside diameter ranging from 200 mm to 400 mm (7.8'' - 15,7'') and an outside diameter from 300mm to 800mm (11.8“ - 31.5”). The coil height may vary from 70 mm to 300 mm (2.7'' - 11,8'') and the coil weight can extend up to 70 kg (150 lbs).
Most of the cable sizes can be processed without changing the laying/feeding tube. Specifically, it is possible to accommodate round cables with diameter ranging from 5 mm to 30 mm (0.2'' - 1.2''), and flat cables with width from 6 mm to 25 mm (0.24'' - 1''). This cutting-edge coiling machine reaches a maximum speed of 300 m/min (1000 ft/min), depending on the product and its application.
- Coil height and width adjustments are motor driven.
- Changing the inner core ID lamella takes only 10 minutes.
- The movements are checked by high-precision drives and motors to ensure full control of the coiling process and maximize the machine output.
